Sensational heavy metal bands Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria are bringing their signature sounds to the State Theater!
Black Veil Brides was formed in Cincinnati (Ohio) in 2006 by vocalist Andy Biersack, guitarist Johnny Herold, and bassist Phil Cennedella. The band's been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Andy (lead vocals), Ashley Purdy (bass guitar and backing vocals), Jinxx (rhythm guitar, violin, and backing vocals), Jake Pitts (lead guitar), and Christian "CC" Coma (drums and percussion). Their musical style is best described as a blend of hard rock (a loosely defined subgenre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards), heavy metal (a subgenre of rock that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s and features a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness), and metalcore (a broad fusion genre of extreme metal and hardcore punk, noted for its use of breakdowns, which are slow, intense passages that are conducive to moshing). They’ve had a stellar career with 4 studio albums, 2 extended plays, 6 singles, 8 music videos, and they've toured with From First to Last, Eyes Set to Kill, Confide, Sleeping with Sirens, and many other renowned bands.
